Al Bayraq works in mine action across Iraq — one of the world’s most heavily contaminated countries — carrying out non-technical and technical survey, manual and mechanical clearance, battle area clearance and the disposal of explosive remnants of war, including improvised devices. The company is accredited by Iraq’s Directorate for Mine Action, holds ISO 29001, 9001, 14001 and 45001, and is pre-qualified with UNOPS. It was the first company in southern and central Iraq to train a team of women deminers.
